01 — About HOWMZ

We believe the time has come to rethink home building.

Traditional home construction is complex, inefficient, and expensive. Over the last decades, there has been no change in how homes are being built. The cost of skilled labor and materials have all increased significantly. As a result, it's harder than ever to afford a home, and the quality has gone backwards — today's homes aren't built to last.

Something has to change. And we are leading that change.

The HOWMZ approach represents an evolution of building: precision-engineered homes with cutting-edge technology, ultra-durable materials, and world-class design. We're industrializing the construction process and redefining what quality, longevity, and affordability mean for home builders and homeowners.

But the real impact goes beyond what we build.

Our vision is a revolution of living. Our homes elevate everyday life and redefine how communities thrive as joyful places — a new standard of living now and far into the future.

Product Development Engineer

Loc Heber CityType Full-time

This is the role that shapes the HOWMZ home itself. You'll design, develop, and continuously optimize our homes — how they're engineered, how the systems fit together, and how they're built in the factory. Working across electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and structural systems, you'll turn design intent into buildable, repeatable products and find smarter, faster, higher-quality ways to make every home.

You're a fit if you:

  • 8–10 years in residential construction, building systems, or product development
  • Deep understanding of how homes go together across electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and structural systems
  • Experience designing for manufacturability — turning designs into repeatable, buildable products
  • Comfortable with CAD/BIM tools like Revit and detailed construction documents
  • A systems thinker who sweats the details and is always hunting for a better way to build

Assistant Site Foreman

Loc Heber City (on-site)Type Full-time

The Site Foreman's right hand. You run the site when the Foreman is off, lead the trades day-to-day, and own quality and schedule alongside them. This isn't a clipboard role — you're in tools every day, leading from the front. You also work the job before it starts: reviewing plans, catching coordination issues, and shaping the build sequence in pre-construction.

You're a fit if you:

  • 5–10 years of residential construction experience, including pre-construction
  • Expert at reading architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and site plans
  • Genuinely hands-on — a skilled tradesperson, not a clipboard supervisor
  • 2+ years leading crews and making field decisions you stand behind
  • Solid grasp of local single-family residential building code

Framer

Loc Heber City (on-site)Type Full-time

We're looking for experienced framers to help assemble our panelized homes on-site. Unlike traditional stick framing, much of the wall, floor, and roof structure arrives pre-built — your job is to set, square, fasten, and tie everything together cleanly and accurately.

You're a fit if you:

  • 2+ years of residential framing experience
  • Comfortable reading plans and working from layout
  • Familiar with cranes, lifts, and panel setting (we'll train on our system)
  • Show up on time, work safely, and take pride in tight, square, plumb work

Finish Carpenter

Loc Heber City (on-site)Type Full-time

Finish carpenters at HOWMZ handle the interior detail work that makes our homes feel custom — doors, trim, casing, baseboards, built-ins, and cabinet installation. The work is detail-heavy and visible, so craftsmanship matters.

You're a fit if you:

  • 3+ years of finish carpentry experience in custom or high-end residential
  • Own hand tools and finish nailers
  • Can scribe, miter, and shim like it's second nature
  • Care about how the work looks, not just whether it's "done"

Electrician

Loc Heber City (on-site)Type Full-timeLic Apprentice, Journeyman, or Master (apprentices work under licensed supervisor)

We're hiring electricians for residential rough-in and finish work on our Heber City builds. You'll work from approved plans, coordinate with our site supervisor, and deliver clean, code-compliant installations.

You're a fit if you:

  • Current Utah electrical license (Apprentice, Journeyman, or Master)
  • Residential rough-in and finish experience — or eager to learn
  • Comfortable working ahead of inspections and on a schedule
  • Take pride in clean, organized panel work

Plumber

Loc Heber City (on-site)Type Full-timeLic Apprentice, Journeyman, or Master (apprentices work under licensed supervisor)

We're hiring plumbers for residential rough-in (water supply, DWV) and fixture set on our Heber City homes. You'll work from approved plans and coordinate with framing, electrical, and HVAC.

You're a fit if you:

  • Current Utah plumbing license (Apprentice, Journeyman, or Master)
  • Residential new-construction experience — or eager to learn
  • Can rough-in cleanly, pressure test, and pass inspections first try
  • Show up on time and communicate clearly with the crew
